Vedic Line Papaya Gel

Hello Friends!  <3
Today I am going to review Vedic Line Papaya Gel that I bought from an Online shopping site two weeks back.
What the Company Says?
Make your skin more radiant.
The main ingredient papaya, maintains the skin’s pH balance without either leaving the look of flakiness or causing dryness. It increases micro circulation of blood in the skin and thus brings glow on skin.

How to Use
Lightly massage on cleansed skin.
Qty
100ml

Price: Rs 175 for 100 ml

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerine, Proplene glycol, IPM, Carbapol 940, Dimethicone, Papaya extract, Imid Urea, Aloe Vera extract, TEA, Hydroxyl ethoxy cellulose gum, Sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, Allantoin, White fruit ext., Color CI 15985.

My Take on Vedic Line Papaya Gel:
I wanted to try something from Vedic Line from quite some time.My quest for an anti blemish skin care product has not yet finished,so I thought why not to try their Papaya gel this winter. It contains both aloe vera and papaya extracts which are well known in lightening blemishes and resulting in soft, supple and clear skin.
This gel  comes in a tub like packaging with a upper screw cap and inner flap cover. The moment you open the flap lid you get an outburst of rich fragrance of fresh mangoes and papaya, so yummy. The gel is quite thick and takes some time to get absorbed into the skin. Its more of a massage gel I feel. After massaging with this gel, my skin feels quite relaxed and I find temporary reduction of pores too.
After some time my skin feels velvety soft and so smooth that I feel like touching my skin every now and then.It leaves my skin well moisturized and leaves a long lasting glow.I have noticed after using the gel whenever I use my foundation, it glides seamlessly on my skin without getting streaky and stays for a long time too.So this gel also serves the purpose of a primer.
Due to regular massage with this gel, I can see reduction in appearance of pores and well toned skin.Facial massage also ensures enough blood circulation to our facial tissues resulting in firm and blemish free skin and thus less chance of break out too.My skin appears more clear now but the winter season is another reason too behind it.Overall I liked this product and would love to try other products from this brand again.

Pros of Vedic Line Papaya Gel:
-It has yummy fragrance of fresh mangoes and papaya.
-Its a thick clear gel which is non sticky.
-Its more of a massage gel, massaging with it gives very soft and velvety smooth skin.
-My skin has firmed up a lot.
-I can see temporary reduction of pores whenever I use it.
-It contains papaya and aloe vera extracts which are well known anti blemish ingredients.
-My skin looks more clear with a healthy glow.
-Quantity is good enough for the price.
-Contains several natural ingredients well known for its role in depigmentation .
-Serves the purpose of a primer too.
-Its paraben free too.
Cons of Vedic Line Papaya Gel:
-Contains dimethicone so those who are allergic to silicone conditioners shouldn't use it.
-It takes some time to gel absorbed into the skin due to presence of Cellulose gum.
-Doesn't result in sudden change of complexion to fair skin tone.
-You need some time to fully realize its action.
-Reduction in pore size is temporary.
-Its availability and lack of customer reviews are major issue, didn't find a single review of a any product from this brand.
Rating: 3.75 out of 5
Will I repurchase it? Yes I think so.
Overall Recommendation: I will recommend this product mostly to oily and combination skin people, they would love it.Everyone can also use it like a natural face primer also.

Lakme Rose Powder

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review Lakme rose powder which I have been using for almost 5-6 years for setting my foundation.Except Lakme I haven't yet got to see any loose powder at such inexpensive price for such huge quantity.

What the Company Says?
Lakme Rose Power is a foundation make-up in a powder format that gives a flawless radiant look. It contains rose fragrance to keep you fresh and contains sunscreen to protect from harmful UV rays. It gives a flawless radiant look.

Price- Rs 99, I got this for 85.

Ingredients: Talc, Zinc Sterate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Aluminium hydroxide, Steric Acid, Perfume, Rosa Damascena Extract; may contain CI 77491, CI77492, CI77499, CI12085, CI77891; Phenoxy Ethanol, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben

My Take on this Product:

I kind of prefer loose powder over compact for more natural
and soft look.I have been using this loose powder since a long time and still do after applying my foundation or sunscreen. It comes in a huge tub like packaging with an upper brown lid and inner lid with holes and a sticker attached to it.I don't peel off the sticker because many times lots of quantity comes out and the moment you open the brown lid, there is mess all around. It comes with a soft puff which I don't use.I apply the loose powder with my kabuki brush for a more refined and flawless look.I have minor blemishes, so this powder hides those and gives light coverage too.It instantly brightens up my complexion and makes me look awake and fresh.I have always used the shade warm pink but recently I bought the shade soft pink and liked it more.Soft pink shade is meant for fair skin, I have wheatish skin but I liked it a lot as it gave me light coverage with a bit of peachiness to my skin.It looks lovely and soaks up extra oil leaving luminous ,soft skin.It strongly smells of rose petals, which I like. The quantity provided is pretty huge and will last me a whole year.So I do not have to spend a lot on my loose powder a lot and am happy using it.

Before Applying

After Applying
Pros of Lakme Rose Powder:
-Very soft textured loose powder which soaks up excess oil giving near matte finish.
-Blends really oil without getting cakey.
-Imparts sheer coverage hiding minor blemishes.
-Contains sunscreen.
-It smells of rose petals.
-Very reasonable price.
-Quantity is lot and will last a whole year with regular use.
-Available at almost all cosmetic shops.
-Two variants are available-
.Warm Pink-For Dusky to wheatish skin tone.
.Soft Pink-For fair skin tone.
-Soft pink doesn't look ott on wheatish skin.
-Its not a shimmery loose powder thus ideal for day wear.

Cons of Lakme Rose Powder:
-Contains lots of parabens.
-Instead of soft puff, I would prefer a make up sponge.
-After peeling off the sticker, every time you open the screwed cap, you would end up getting messy with loose powder spilling here and there.
-How much SPF it contains is no where mentioned.
-It imparts very light coverage.
-It expires within two years.
-I don't prefer any kind of fragrance in my cosmetics.
-Price has increased from Rs 55 to Rs 99.
-Only two shades are available, so dark skin people may find it a bit ashy on their face.

Rating:3.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No, This time I intend to buy Bourjois Paris Mineral Enriched Loose Powder.

Overall Recommendation: If you are in need of an inexpensive loose powder for setting your foundation, then definitely go for this.

Chambor Products at StyleCraze.com

Hello Friends!
I am extremely excited to share with you that now StyleCraze has Chambor products in their stock.Awesome work StyleCraze!

LipIce Lip Balm- Orange

Hello Friends!
I use lip balms all year round but during winters its a must have product for me!I can skip my make up products but not a lip balm for sure.I stock up at least 5-6 lip balms for every winter. :D Today I am reviewing the much raved about lip balm from Japan- Lip ice.Am I entirely impressed with it?? Do read on to know my experience.
What The Company Says?
>Lanolin and Mineral oil that prevent lips from dryness and chapping by providing ample moisturization
>SPF 15 that protects the lips against UV rays
>Menthol and Camphor that give a cool and refreshing effect to the lips
>Fortified with Orange flavor
Price: Rs 120, I got this for Rs 105 after discount.
Ingredients: Mineral oil, Ozokerite, Petrolatum, Octyl Mathoxycinnamate, Octyl Salicylate, Lanolin, Flavor, Dimethicone, Menthol, Camphor.

Other Variants:
-Strawberry
-Blueberry
-Lemon
-Apple
-Orange
I have Orange and Lemon.
My Take on LipIce Orange Lip Balm:
After going through several positive reviews on net regarding LipIce Lip balm, I ordered these from an online shopping at great discount.I always have had attraction towards citrusy products ranging from deodorants, lotion, creams etc and thus stock up such products.I bought the Lemon and Orange variant of this range. This lip balm comes in white twist up tube packaging which I prefer a lot than tub packaging. These are clear balms with pure refreshing citrusy fragrance with a hint of camphor.
These are not buttery soft but makes my lips soft and relieves chapped lips. The best part is the cooling sensation on my lips after applying it which lasts for 10-20 minutes. These however do not treat fine lines like my Neutregena lip Balm, and very less product is transferred with each application.I am not very satisfied with the moisturizing effect either.Lotus Herbal and Neutregena lip balm score much high in moisturizing aspect.
I have used VLCC mint Lip balm which comes in tub packaging containing 10 gm of product and imparts similar cooling effect on my lips like LipIce at a much reasonable rate.So am not much wooed by this product.I will recommend you to use this balm during Summers for cooling and soothing effect, but this not my HG winter balm as I need to treat the fine lines and severely chapped lips where these LipIce balm fail.

Pros of LipIce Lip Balm:
-Several variants are available -Strawberry, Blueberry, Apple, Lemon, Orange.
-Contains Mentholatum and thus imparts nice cooling and soothing sensation to my lips.
-These Lip balm have nice citrusy fragrance with a hint of camphor.
-They come twist up tube packaging and thus are hygienic and travel friendly.
-Makes my lips soft and prevents chapped lips.
-Packaging is quite cute.
-Their website is so funky and has lots of information regarding Lip care and Its product range.
-Contains SPF 15.
Cons of LipIce Lip Balm:
-Its availability is an issue, you wont find in all stationary and cosmetic stores.
-Its bit pricy for the quantity we are getting.
-Its not a very moisturizing Lip balm.
-Not for treating fine lines or severely chapped lips.
-Very less amount gets transferred with each application, so I have to apply it many times.
-These contain mineral oil and dimethicone, so people who are allergic to these ingredients shouldn't  use it.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No, I already have two and as it doesn't cater to my moisturizing needs, I wont buy it and as far as cooling  effect is concerned I have my reasonable VLCC Mint Lip balm for it.

My Overall Recommendation: Go for these Lip balms during summers for cooling and soothing sensation.Apart from cooling sensation, its not going to help much during winter.

My Anti-Dandruff Hair Oil Recipe !

Hello Friends!
During winter my scalp really becomes flaky and just oiling with coconut oil doesn't eliminate the dandruff properly.By next day again I feel my scalp has become flaky,so this time I would love to share my recipe for Anti- Dandruff hair oil that along with Fenugreek hair pack eliminates dandruff and keeps scalp free of  flakiness for long time.

So for this you
need:

-200 ml of Coconut oil.
-5ml of Rosemary oil
-5 ml of Tea tree oil (Don't add if you have dry hair)
-2 ml of Lemon Oil.
-5 ml of Aroma Magic Anti Dandruff Flaky Oil.

Mix all the essential oils in the coconut oil and your anti dandruff hair oil is simply ready to use.I normally use Patanjali coconut oil and Aroma magic essential oils to make it.Apply this oil on your scalp half an hour prior to hair wash.

Nature's Essence Aloe Vera Gel

Hello Friends!
Today I am reviewing Aloe Vera gel from the brand Nature's Essence which is well renowned for its Facial kits and face packs. So did this product woo me entirely? Read on to know more.
What the Company Says?
Aloe Vera is a world renowned plant for its cosmetic and medicinal miracle properties. Nature’s Essence Aloe Vera uses the goodness of this miracle plant from its natural source along wit modern manufacturing processes to offer you a treatment moisturizing gel ideal for softening the skin, protecting it from sun damage and acting as a guard and immunizing agent against skin ailments like dry skin, acne and itchy skin conditions. The gel is an ideal solution for gifting you soft, glowing and pampered skin.

Usage :
Apply the gel after cleansing your face and massage the gel softly into the skin for softening and protecting it against environmental pollutants. Ideal to be used everyday.
For best result use twice a day :

Ingredients: Aloe Vera extract and Peppermint oil, Mineralised water

Price- Rs 65 for 100 gms.

My Take on Nature's Essence Aloe Vera Gel:
This gel comes in a transparent tub packaging with an aluminum cover sealing it.Removing the aluminum cover is a headache for me, as much of the gel gets transferred to the cover while peeling it off.Anyways coming to the product, its a Light green colored gel (looks green in tub but transparent in real) with a weird strong fragrance that almost suffocates me,fragrance is some how similar to men's shaving products.I had first used it some 5 years back when I was a bachelor student and got smitten by its look. When I used then, it broke me out horribly many times for which I shunned the tub somewhere in my shelf and never used it, after 3 months I remember the gel had almost dried up and couldn't be used anymore.Recently when I found my HG aloe vera gel from Patanjali out of stock at Patanjali outlet, I was left with no option and with lots of apprehension picked this up again. The price has increased from Rs 55 to 65 only.
When I used it this time, I found the fragrance was the same weird one that used to be there. This gel however feels really cool on skin and gets absorbed within seconds leaving matte soft skin.It used to be a bit sticky, now its much better I would say. This time when I had some rashes on my skin, this gel helped a lot in soothing and reviving my skin to normal form. Its working nicely as a conditioner too.So I think this gel contains something that is not suitable for teenagers and sensitive skin.I would partially recommend you this product, only in case you cant buy Patanjali aloe vera gel or prepare at home.

 Pros of Aloe Vera Gel:
-It contains peppermint oil.
-It has cooling and soothing effect on skin.
-Helped in soothing rashes.
-Gets absorbed easily in seconds leaving soft matte skin.
-Very reasonable price.
-Works as a conditioner too.
-Will last me for a long time.
-Can be used after waxing for soothing and calming effect.
-Not very sticky in nature.
-Suitable for summers.

Cons of Aloe Vera Gel:
-It had resulted in severe break outs on my skin when I had used it some 5 years back as a teenager.
-It has got suffocating weird fragrance. :(
-Its packaging is damn unhygienic.
-Not suitable for teenagers and sensitive skin.
-Didn't do anything on my skin except the cooling sensation i got while applying.
-Dries up into a sticky mass if you leave it unused for few months.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Nooo , I am still finding ways how to finish the existing one, forget about new.

My overall Recommendation: If you urgently need an Aloe Vera gel and not able to purchase the Patanjali aloe vera gel, then you may use it.But I cant fully recommend you this product.

Avon Simply Pretty Mini Mascara-Blue and EOTD

Hello Friends!
Today I am reviewing a cute little wonder product from Avon, its their Simply Pretty Mini Mascara Blue :)

Price: Rs 199 for 3.5 gm, Rs 139 on offer.

Ingredients: Not Mentioned anywhere.

Its Waterproof!

My Take on Avon Simply Pretty Mini Mascara:
I wanted to try a blue mascara from quit some time as I have seen several bloggers wearing blue mascara, which is quite a bold statement in itself. It suits many people, I like blue liners on my brown hazel eyes so I thought to check out if blue mascara suits me or not.

So when I saw this available on offer in Avon Catalogue for the month of June, I placed my order immediately. It
has mainly two shades:
-Green
-Blue

I have the blue shade which is a vibrant bold sky blue color. :x

Lined my eyes with Faces Pencil Eyeliner 'Navy Blue' and used Avon mascara

Lined my upper lashline with Maybelline collossal kajal as I didnt get my black liner anywhere. :p

Applied mascara on bare eyes!

Look at the size!

Could be removed only with my HG make up remover Lotus Lemonpure.

As this is my first blue mascara, I am quite satisfied with it for the reasonable price I bought it for.Its comes in a small tube packaging, with greyish black cover mentioning Avon Simply Pretty.Shade name is mentioned below the tube. When I used it, I found one- two coats does not give any visible result.I had to apply some 4-5 coats for visible result. The wand is a big one and does not impart any kind of dramatic lengthening or volomising effect.Remember the Street Wear mascara wand??? Its similar to that. The mascara is creamy and texture is thick which dries up in a second. Its waterproof and I found a bit difficult to remove it with my make up remover. It suits my brown eyes a lot but I kind of feel it makes my lashes very stiff,so am not comfortable wearing it for a long time. The quantity provided is very less but will last for long time as I don't wear it much. For dramatic effect, apply one coat of your favorite mascara and then apply it just at the tips of your eye lashes, it looks awesome that way.I think you wont regret buying it for the first time at such affordable price.

Pros of Avon Simply Pretty Mini Mascara- Blue:
>Nice attractive vibrant sky blue color. <3
>This shade adds the extra oomph to my overall look. :x
>It suits brown eyes a lot.
>It never clumps my lashes.
>Very reasonable price when available on offer.
>Cute small tube, will fit my purse easily.
>Its a waterproof mascara.
>Lasts all day long till I do not remove it with a make up remover.
>There is another shade- Aqua green. :)

Cons of Avon Simply Pretty Mini Mascara- Blue:
>Quantity is very less- only 3.5 gm.
>No lengthening or volumsing effect on lashes.
>4-5 coat required for some visible result. :(
>Without offer its bit costly I think.
>No list of ingredients mentioned.
>Packaging is damn boring and tube is so small.
>My lashes feel quite stiff after applying it. :(
>Available through Avon representative.
>Mascara wand does nothing.
>The mascara dries really very fast.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No, I may  buy one from Nyx.

Overall Recommendation: Buy it when you get this on offer. Its a nice buy if you want to try a blue mascara for first time.Apply your favorite mascara on your lashes and apply the blue mascara just on the tips of your lashes, the effect I get is superb and yes very gorgeous.
