Today I am going to review Eye shadow No.8 from recently launched Bourjois Extrait Intense Eye Shadow range.

My Take On This Product:

This range of Intense Eye shadows have been launched very recently.I wouldn't have know anything about it, if I had not seen these beauties at Cynthia's blog first.These shadows look very cute, attractive and come with a mirror too.These are baked shadows and come in little pot like packaging with a magnetic lock which makes opening and closing of the pot very convenient.Its damn travel friendly too.Though the quantity is only 1 Gm, Its going to last me for a long time.I have used it 6-7 times and it hardly looks used.

These shadows are baked but unlike other baked eye shadows, you wont need sponge applicators to use it.The texture of the shadow is very soft and quite smooth.Just one swipe with your eye shadow brush is more than enough for your entire lid.Its the most pigmented eye shadow I have ever seen or used.I lightly swatched it on my hands and was impressed with it pigmentation.You would hardly need a second swipe when you are using this.Whenever I pick up the shadow with my eye shadow brush I have seen it sort of becomes powdery leading to wastage of product.So now I am very careful while picking it up as quantity is only 1Gm :p 

The shade number 8 is a pretty warm light brown color with very fine golden shimmer.This shadow has pearl finish and shimmers are hardly visible on my eyes, thus making it very much wearable.This shade is so unique that you can incorporate in your daily neutral eye make up, Wedding eye make up, Bridal Make up, and even while creating smokey eyes.Recently when my colleagues saw this shadow, they were more than amazed and wished to purchase this shade too. :p I felt like a personal achievement. :p

 

This eye shadow is one of the long staying eye shadows I have ever come across with.Without a primer it stays on my eyes for 5hours or so with minimal creasing towards the end.With a primer I saw it stayed for 8 hours with no crease and after that i had to remove my makeup of course.

So from my side product is total winner.I have purchased some Four shades from this range.

-Shade No.9

-Shade No.10

I intend to purchase shade No.1, 3, 4 and 5 too. :p

Pros Of The Product:

-Very cute, attractive and travel friendly packaging.

-It comes with a mirror too so helpful for touch ups.

-This is the most pigmented eye shadow i have ever used in my life.Only one swipe you require for whole eye lid application.

-The texture of the shadow is very soft and smooth, unlike other baked eye shadows.

-You don't need to use sponge applicator for this, your shadow brush would be enough.

-It has magnetic lock system, which is pretty convenient.

-With time, this do not harden much.

-I have used 6-7 times but it hardly looks used, it will last me for a long time indeed.

-Without a primer it stays on my eyes for 5+ hours with minimal creasing, with a primer it stayed for 8+ hours on my eyes without any creasing.

-Its a pretty warm light brown shade with very fine golden shimmer.

-This shade is a must have for we all Indians, will simply look flattering on our skin tone.

-You can not only use it for everyday look, but also for bridal, wedding makeup and Smokey eye make up look too.

-These are hypoallergenic, paraben and fragrance free.

-These are mineral enriched shadows, good for eyes.

-Its very reasonable for a mineral eye shadow.

-Some 10 different pretty shades are available in this range.

-Almost all shadows from this range except 10 have very fine shimmers, which do not show up much on eyes.

-The subtle shimmers give a warm glow.

-These can can be used both wet and dry.I didn't use it wet because i dint need to as these are already sooo pigmented when used dry.

Cons of the product:

-Only 1 gm is provided for Rs 410.

-many may find it a bit pricy for the quantity.

-While swiping over its surface, one has to be careful or there would be product wastage.

-Shade 2 and 3 are very shimmery, so may not be everyone's choice.

-No brush or sponge applicator is provided. (I don't even prefer those :p , so not a con for me)

-Available only at Style Craze currently that too only few shades. 

Rating: 4.75 out 5

Will I Repurchase it? Yes Yes Yes! Also I will purchase shade 1, 3, 4, 5 :p

My Overall Recommendation: Just grab one of these for sure.

Bourjois Paris Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation 'Miel Subtil'

I bought the Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation from StyleCraze.com during their year end sale.I got this at 15% discount.I wanted to try this foundation since a long time as I am a great fan of mineral makeup.I so wish to use only safe makeup on my skin.Anyways I had great expectations from this product.So do you think I found my HG Foundation? Do read on to know more.

Rs 835 for 18 ml, I got this for Rs 705 after discount.

My Take On This Product:

I do not prefer to buy foundation online without checking the swatches it person.But I wanted to have this mineral matte foundation since a longggg time.I found this at an online shopping site at great discount, so I checked the shade chart and found all the shades except 'Miel Subtil' either looked very dark or had pink undertones, only this shade seemed to suit my skin tone.I ordered this shade immediately though I knew it was a great risk.

This foundation comes in tub like packaging with nice classy black screw cap.The quantity though is 18 ml, due to its mousse consistency will last me for a long time.I need very little amount for full face.When you touch the foundation, its consistency is very creamy but after you apply on your skin it melts fast in your skin to matte powder finish.It melts so fast that I was very surprised.

This foundation never ever gets cakey.It imparts medium coverage but can be layered up to nearly full coverage without getting the mask effect.It conceals acne marks nicely even redness of the pimples effectively.It doesn't completely conceal the freckle marks but in a way blurs them out.It matches my skin tone, the best thing is that it neutralizes the yellow undertone of my skin.It instantly brightens up my face.It stays on my skin all day long. Even after coming back home after 8.30 pm, I still see the brightening effect on my face.I look fresh all day long.

This foundation did not break me out at all.It makes my face very smooth and imparts a semi-matte finish.The finish is so fine and flawless that I no more need loose powder or compact to set my foundation.It gives an air-brushed effect and I am really impressed with this product.Only con is that is flash photography I felt it left a white cast on my face but of course not like the ghostly white cast that Maybelline mousse foundation leaves.

Pros Of The Product:

-Its a mineral mousse foundation which is completely safe for our skin.

-Consistency is very creamy but instantly melts to give matte finish.

-This foundation completely eliminates a compact or loose powder from my makeup regimen.

-Imparts semi matte finish.

-It gives medium to nearly complete coverage without getting cakey.

-It brightens up my face, and I look fresh all day long.

-It never broke me out.

-I wore this went out in the sun , traveled all day long but didn't see any kind of tanning or dullness in my skin.

-One can never get wrong with this foundation.

-It covers acne marks and redness of pimples effectively,even blurs my freckle marks.

-Never gives me that made up look.I look quite natural using it.

-Gives that air brushed effect which I have always dreamt of.

-It stays for a long time even after prolonged sun exposure.

-It requires very less quantity for face and neck.

-Neutralizes Yellow undertone of my skin.
-Its Dermatologically tested and has non pore blocking formula.
-Keeps my skin well hydrated.

Cons Of The Product:

-Its pretty costly for only 18 ml of the product.

-Only 5-6 shades are available and mostly not for our skin tone.

-In flash photography, white cast is visible on my face.

-I have read very contradictory reviews on this product.Some completely swear by this product and some claim that this product broke them out horribly.So I wont suggest this product to very sensitive skin and also if you are allergic to silicon based foundation.

-It does not conceal my freckles completely. 

-Those who love foundation that gives dewy finish may not like it.
-Its not fragrance free.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes I may repurchase it.

My Overall Recommendation: If you are not allergic to silicon based foundation and like semi- matte finish with medium to nearly complete coverage then please rush and grab this one for sure.Its an amazing  foundation.

Bourjois Paris Little Round Pot Blush 'Rose Ambre'

During Last year end sale, I had purchased few Bourjois paris products from Stylecraze online shopping site.From my haul today I am reviewing the Bourjois Paris Little Round Pot Blush 'Rose Ambre'.

Price- Rs 525 for 2.5 gm, I got this beauty for Rs 488 after discount.

My Take On this Product:

Bourjois brand is well known for its world renowned little pot blush that comes in wide range of shades and finish.I always wanted to buy at least one of these , so I ended up buying the shade 'Rose Ambre'. I wanted to buy the shade 'Ambre Dior' but checked online and found several of the blushes were very shimmery.I do not prefer shimmery blushes as they accentuate my pores and I cannot carry them at all during day time.So after much checking I found this range has a matte blush too which is not only matte but also a warm pretty pink shade which is very apt for Indian skin tones.

This blush comes in round little pot with a flap.It has lock system with an in built mirror.A small blusher brush is also provided with it which is not completely useless.You can use this brush during touch ups and also during traveling.I find this blush very travel friendly.When I first saw the blush pot, I realized why its been names Little round pot.Its actually a tiny little blusher pot with 2.5 gm quantity of blush.

The shade 'Rose Ambre' is a matte warm pink blush, a very flattering shade for Indian skin tones.This blush is very much wearable and apt for day wear too.The texture of blush is soft which I had not expected.So I suggest you to softly swipe your blusher brush across the surface or there can be product wastage too.I need seriously one swipe for that natural flush and healthy look.Its a pigmented blush so one swipe is enough.Though its a baked blush, I don't think you would need a wet brush for an intense look as its already pigmented enough.

Staying power is something to die for.Lasted on my cheeks whole day girls till I didn't remove my makeup.It really did.It blends nicely too.I wont say blends like dream but it will do.Though quantity is less , I realized it will last me for a long time as I need maximum one gentle swipe for each cheek.The only con is that I felt if the pot falls down, the blusher will completely get crumbled up and the brush provided with it always falls down the moment I open the pot.

Pros Of The Product:

-'Rose Ambre' is a pretty warm pink shade with matte finish.

-Very flattering shade for Indian skin tones.

-Several shades are available in this range.

-It comes with a cute brush and in built mirror so good for traveling purpose.

-The blusher pot has a lock system which I liked.

-Very wearable shade and can be worn in day time too.

-Its texture is very soft.

-Its a pigmented blush so I didn't need to use wet brush for an intense effect.

-It stayed for a whole day on me without any touch ups.

-Blends nicely too.

-Easily available these days at discount at several Online shopping sites.

-Its a baked blush, so reasonable compared to chambor and others.

Cons Of The Product:

-Except this blush, almost all other shades are quite shimmery.

-The brush provided with it falls down the moment I open the blusher pot.

-I found the packaging cute but  if it falls down, the blusher wont survive at all.

-The quantity provided for Rs 525 is just 2.5 gm. Not done at all.

-One has to gently swipe over the blush or there is product wastage.

My Rating: 4.25 out of 5

Will I repurchase? No I don't think so.It will last me for a long time.I may purchase the ' Ambre Dior' shade or  'Tomette'.

My Overall Recommendation: If you need a warm pink blush with matte finish and want to give Bourjois brand a try then surely go for this shade.Its a very flattering shade for Indian skin tones.

My Overall Shopping Experience:

I have till date shopped twice from them and totally loved their service and dedication.Though they do not have all brands that I desire still their personalized service has made me their fan.They followed me first of all on twitter and thus from there I came to know more about them.Initially I thought it was like any other shopping site but when Chetana told me that I could personally  request products that I wish to purchase from them and they can bring those with in a week actually caught my attention.They also have great discounts on several products.I requested several stuff from them and gave my list.They brought almost all the products within few days and dispatched my first order.I had opted for COD for my first order but they mailed me that they didn't have COD service to my place but will cover my place under First Flight COD soon.I got my first package after 6 days.Everything was good except my L'Oreal Khol, I found the bottom of the khol had cracked spilling khol in the bubble wrap.I immediately mailed them with pictures showing the product.Chetana responded to my mail within 1 hour and promised me to send me another khol with my next purchase.I had not paid anything till then for my order.Ok do check the pictures of my first order:

FIRST ORDER-

After that I asked them to bring Revlon Photoready Foundation and Faces Go chic Lipstick for me.They brought all products within 8-9 days.The most awesome thing is that they immediately reply to my Twit and mail.So I ordered several stuff including Bourjois Paris eye shadows from them during second time.They dispatched my second order along with the L'Oreal Khol.After few days I credited the amount of both the orders in their account.They said I can pay at my own convenience. I don't think a single shopping site can give that much of liberty to any of its customer.

Ok one thing which I didn't like was they said they would dispatch my order by First Flight but they dispatched by Professional couriers and didn't inform me about that.When I mailed them to send me the tracking number they sent me the bill and I saw they had sent me by professional couriers.After that I got it clarified that they did it because First Flight couriers were very casual and didn't dispatch my order even after two days of keeping it idle in their office.

Another thing that I didn't like was using of thermocol balls, I mean once you open the package those balls create a mess around the room.Its a pain to clean all those really.I hope they improve their packaging and introduce more brands.I  always wanted to buy some products from Bourjois Paris, its due to them I could buy some Bourjois stuff at last.Ok now check my second order Pictures:

-They have 7 days no question asked return policy.

-My second order took nearly 10 days to reach me, so to compensate for that they gave me a coupon worth Rs 250.

Cons :

-I  don't like those thermocol balls in my package as they fly here and there creating such mess.

-I would love to see more brands in their site.

-There is error in price mentioning of several products. Like I saw Nyx Auto liner Real price is Rs 225, but in their site it is Rs 325 and the L'Oreal cream which is Rs 449 was mentioned Rs 499.They corrected the price of L'Oreal products after I mailed them.

Will I shop Again? Oh yes! If they improve their packaging and cover my place under COD and ensure early delivery then they should be assured that they have a permanent customer now.  :)
