Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipstick in Coral Lustre

I got Maybelline Color sensational High Shine Lipstick in shade 'Coral Lustre' few days back from Stylecraze.com.So today I am going to review it for helping you out to take a proper decision.

My Take On This Product:

This summers, I really feel like trying all coral and orange lipsticks.These shades are so summery and brightens my complexion a lot.I have started loving these bold shades a lot these days.Ever since Maybelline has launched their new collection, I really felt like buying their mousse foundation and High shine lipstick.There are some 4 shades, out of that Coral Luster looked really nice.I checked so many famous blogs and found the swatches and the shade to be very funky, bright and almost my kind.Well sorry to say but that is where I was duped.When I found these at an online shopping site, I ordered the shade 'Coral Luster' immediately.I was so excited to receive my package,  but I was crestfallen to see its tip as it had melted.

Anyways now coming to review, Maybelline High Shine lipsticks come in steel grey semi transparent packaging.It contains only 3.5 grams of the product.The shade' Coral Luster' looks absolutely adorable, shiny and juicy in the tube.Its a light coral shade with pronounced pink undertone with fine silver shimmers, which Maybelline claims to impart a Mirror like effect.I was bit disappointed with this shade as its not a pure coral shade which I had desired.This lipstick has very sheer finish, I need some 4-5 swipes to show the color on my lips.My upper lip is pigmented so to cover it up, I need 5 swipes.I have been using it a lot this week and I was astonished to see how small the lipstick has become now, I mean I am really going to finish it up very very soon.

The shade Coral Lustre contains fine silver shimmers which are not gritty but when I apply 4-5 swipes I feel the grittiness of the shimmers and fine lines of my lips get pronounced.Its texture is buttery soft, and it feels moisturizing too but for few hours.It stays hardly 2 hours on my lips excluding meals.After two hours, it leaves a pretty tint behind but with loads of shimmers.The silver shimmers stick to the lips and its very hard to remove those.I need to use a Makeup remover 2 times to removes those shimmers.This is neither a lipstick, nor a gloss and of course not a lip balm.It does not satisfy any of the criteria fully.

You must have heard a saying 'Jack of all traits master of none'.  :p Thats what implies to this very lipstick actually.This lipstick will suite fair to medium skin tones, will wash out people with darker skin tones.I am not at all happy with this lipstick as the quantity is very less and price is on the higher side.

Pros of The product:

-Its a pretty lightened coral shade with pink undertones.

-Will suit fair to medium skin tones easily.

-Very wearable shade.

-Its texture is buttery soft, so glides on lips nicely.

-Available in three more shades in India.

-Its a moisturizing lipstick so one can skip a lip balm.

-Its finish is very sheer, so many people will like it for that.

-Its summery bright shade, which instantly brightens my overall look.

-This lipstick gives a very lightweight feeling, which I love.

Cons Of The product:

-On my lips, it takes some 4-5 swipes to show some color.

-It hardly stays on my lips for 2 hours.

-This lipstick accentuates my fine lines when I swipe it multiple times.

-The shimmer feels gritty with multiple swipes.

-Lipstick fades very soon leaving silver shimmer on lips, Its difficult to remove those shimmers even with a makeup remover.

-Coral Lustre is not a true coral shade.

-Its poorly pigmented.

-My lips get dry after the shade fades away after 2 hours.Thus does not keep my lips moisturized for a long time.

-There are some 10 shades shown in the site but only 4 are available in India.

-They neither serve the purpose of a lipstick nor of a lipgloss.

-Its very pricy for such a dud.Other range of Lipsticks from Maybelline are very good and reasonable.

-Melts very soon.

-Its gets finished fast too. If one uses this everyday, it will hardly last for 20 days.

Will I repurchase it? No way guys, its pricy and not at all worth the price.

My Overall Recommendation: The Shade Coral Lustre is a very sheer Light coral shade with pink undertones.It will suit fair and medium skin tone people a lot.This is not a shade for those with pigmented lips.Its contains fine silver shimmer which does not show much but after the shade fades away after 2 hours, one can clearly see the silver shimmers.Its very difficult top remove the shimmers.It gets finished very soon and melts fast too.

I have a gorgeous Berry Shade called Hooked on Pink

My Take On This Product:

I bought this particular shade when I was staying at Kolkata from one of my most visited cosmetic store Modern Museum.This gloss was then recently launched by Maybelline and hence I didn't know anything about it before visiting the store.The SA was quite friendly with me and thus suggested me this range.When I swatched these glosses my god I was kind of surprised with the pigmentation.It was almost like a lip color that gives opaque coverage with one swipe.I really loved this range mainly because of its price.You get lots of quantity at such reasonable price.I swatched many shades and  then found shade' Hooked on Pink' a wearable shade rather a shade which really looked good on me.I can wear it lightly as a tint and even as a pigmented opaque lip color which covers up my pigmented lips.

This gloss comes in a transparent tube with a doe foot applicator which picks up right quantity of product you need each time.It contains very subtle golden sparkles which do not show up on lips after application.The lipgloss feels sticky for two minutes after application leaving beautiful soft pink lips.I don't feel any stickiness after 2 minutes and it feels lightweight too.The staying power is 2-3 hours without a meal.This gloss however leaves a pink tint behind.Considering the price and quantity I highly recommend this range and this shade too.This is an amazing Berry kind shade which will suit everyone from Dark, medium to light complexion.

-Very pigmented lipgloss, imparts opaque coverage to my pigmented lips.

-It has doe foot applicator that helps in even application of lipgloss.

-The applicator picks up right quantity of product require for each application thus avoiding loss of product.

-The quantity is huge for the price.

-Available at reasonable price.

-Available at almost all cosmetic shops these days.

-It feels lightweight and non sticky.

-Keeps my lips soft.

-Fades evenly leaving a soft pink tint behind.

-Staying power is 2-3 hours which is pretty good for a gloss. 

-Very pretty red and plum shades are available in this range.

-It will suit almost all skin tones.

-Its a good shade for parties.

Cons Of the Product:

-After application the gloss feels sticky for sometime.

-I wish there were some coral and peachy shades available in this range too.

-Too bright and gorgeous shades so may not everyone's cup pf tea.

Overall Recommendation: 'Hooked On Pink' is a pretty gorgeous pinkish berry kind shade which gives opaque coverage to lips with almost single swipe.I would highly recommend this range and shade.For The price and quantity it is available, I will say its a steal.Do go for this one for sure!

Nyx Round Lipgloss 'Apricot'

Today I am going to review 'Nyx Round Lipgloss' Apricot which I got from StyleCraze.com recently during their Nyx Sale.

Price: 1.99$, In India Rs 199 for 2.5 ml, I got this for Rs 169 after discount.

My Take On This Product:

When I saw Nyx Round Lipgloss available at an awesome discount,I had to buy one of these at any cost.I was confused between 'Peach' and 'Apricot'. I searched for swatches online and liked the shade 'Apricot' a lot.Its a bright coral shade and looked very pigmented too.

                                NATURAL LIGHT

These gloss comes in cute plastic tubes with a black cap which looks very girly :p and these are travel friendly too.I am getting so obsessed with this gloss that it has to be there in bag to my work place at all cost.I have never ever felt this obsessed with a gloss except Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Papaya of course.

This gloss looks very pigmented in swatches, but somehow I didn't find it that pigmented on my lips.I was not very impressed with the color payoff.It looks like a pretty Peachy pink shade with a 'Glass Like' appearance.

Its a wearable gloss, which you can wear at any time of the day anywhere.Considering its wearability, I am liking it a lot.Its staying power is maximum 2-3 hours without a meal.Its very lightweight, you wont feel a thing on your lips.Its not at all sticky and keeps my lips hydrated for a long time indeed.

Pros Of The Product:

-Cute and handy packaging.

-Very pretty coral shade.

-Its a lightweight lipgloss.

-It imparts a 'Glass like' appearance on my lips.

-It looks more of a peachy pink shade on lips.

-It stays for 2-3 hours on my lips, which is pretty good for a lip gloss.

-Its not a bit sticky.

-Keeps my lips well hydrated for a great time.

-This is such a subtle shade,I can wear it any time of the day.

-It has doe foot applicator which makes it very easy to apply on lips.

-Its very reasonable, I got this at rs 169 only.

-This gloss never gets streaky on my lips.

Cons Of The Product:

-Though it looks pigmented in swatches, doesn't look much pigmented on my lips.

-The applicator stem gets very messy and picks lots of gloss.

-The quantity is very less, only 2.5 ml.

-Once again availability is an issue.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Will I purchase it? Yes in some other shade.

My Overall Recommendation: You all girls are surely going to like this lip gloss a lot.Go and have one of these in a shade of your choice.
