Nyx Round Lipgloss 'Apricot'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review 'Nyx Round Lipgloss' Apricot which I got from StyleCraze.com recently during their Nyx Sale.
What The Company Says?

Price: 1.99$, In India Rs 199 for 2.5 ml, I got this for Rs 169 after discount.

My Take On This Product:
When I saw Nyx Round Lipgloss available at an awesome discount,I had to buy one of these at any cost.I was confused between 'Peach' and 'Apricot'. I searched for swatches online and liked the shade 'Apricot' a lot.Its a bright coral shade and looked very pigmented too.

                                NATURAL LIGHT

These gloss comes in cute plastic tubes with a black cap which looks very girly :p and these are travel friendly too.I am getting so obsessed with this gloss that it has to be there in bag to my work place at all cost.I have never ever felt this obsessed with a gloss except Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Papaya of course.

This gloss looks very pigmented in swatches, but somehow I didn't find it that pigmented on my lips.I was not very impressed with the color payoff. It looks like a pretty Peachy pink shade with a 'Glass Like' appearance.
Its a wearable gloss, which you can wear at any time of the day anywhere.Considering its wearability, I am liking it a lot.Its staying power is maximum 2-3 hours without a meal. Its very lightweight, you wont feel a thing on your lips. Its not at all sticky and keeps my lips hydrated for a long time indeed.

                                    ARTIFICIAL LIGHT

Pros Of The Product:
-Cute and handy packaging.
-Very pretty coral shade.
-Its a lightweight lipgloss.
-It imparts a 'Glass like' appearance on my lips.
-It looks more of a peachy pink shade on lips.
-It stays for 2-3 hours on my lips, which is pretty good for a lip gloss.
-Its not a bit sticky.
-Keeps my lips well hydrated for a great time.
-This is such a subtle shade,I can wear it any time of the day.
-It has doe foot applicator which makes it very easy to apply on lips.
-Its very reasonable, I got this at rs 169 only.
-This gloss never gets streaky on my lips.

Cons Of The Product:
-Though it looks pigmented in swatches, doesn't look much pigmented on my lips.
-The applicator stem gets very messy and picks lots of gloss.
-The quantity is very less, only 2.5 ml.
-Once again availability is an issue.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Will I purchase it? Yes in some other shade.

My Overall Recommendation: You all girls are surely going to like this lip gloss a lot.Go and have one of these in a shade of your choice.

Nyx Trio Eyeshadow 'Aquamarine' TS40

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review one of the trios from the much raved about Nyx Trio Eyeshadow range.I have trios 'Guru' and 'Aquamarine' from the range. So read on to know my take on this eye makeup trio.

Price- 8$, In India its Rs 650. I got this for Rs 520 after discount.

What The Company Says?
Three’s definitely company when it comes to this trio of fashionably coordinated eye shadow shades in the NYX Trio Eye Shadow palette. Apply your statement shade on the eye lid, blend with the crease color and finish with the highlight. Includes a dual-ended sponge applicator and mirror for on-the-go touch-ups. Available in 45 eye-catching palette variations.

My Take On This Product:
Due to my sweet fellow bloggers I was kind of compelled to buy two trios 'Guru' and 'Aquamarine' from this range.Superb reviews and swatches on trio ' Copper Walnut Rust' made me really go for these two :p First I bought the trio' Guru' and totally loved it so I went for Aquamarine' thinking it will suit me as blue liners look really good on my brown hazel eyes.
First when I got this trio, I just couldn't stop staring at this trio as it looks so pretty guys.

Anyways, this trio comes in a black classy palette with three different shades of eye shadows in it.It has a see through cover and a mirror lodged in the inner side of the cover. The mirror is big enough for doing your entire makeup. It has got a sponge applicator which is of extremely good quality. It will last you for a long time.I basically use the applicator for using my Deborah baked eye shadows. It has some 3.6 gm of product which is quite good for the price. These shadows have 'Pearl like' finish.

                                              Without a primer
I was very impressed with the trio 'Guru' but this trio is kind of different.Ok the shades are basically:
 -Bluish Highlighter.
-Turquoise Blue
-Cobalt Blue
When I got hold of this, I tried an EOTD.I was so much in a hurry that I didn't use any primer. So i found that without a primer all the shades which look so pretty and distinct in the pan actually mix up to give you similar effect specially if one has pigmented lids. These shades are not much pigmented either. These shades creased badly within 1 hour on my lids.I don't have much oily lids or dark circles. But still it happened like that. The shades don't blend nicely also.

                                          With a primer
These shades are very 'Primer Intensive'.With a good primer underneath, these shades look distinct and nice on my eyes. They stay on my eyes for 3-4 hours with a primer.Overall I found this trio would come out nicely on fair skin tone people and definitely suit people with blue eyes.I found the trio' Guru' much better than this one in terms of blending, staying power and pigmentation.

Pros Of The Product:
-This comes in a black sturdy palette form.
-It has a see through cover, so I am not confused which trio is this.
-There is a mirror lodged inside the cover.
-Sponge Applicator is of very good quality.
-Its has 3.6gm of product so good for the price.
-These shades have pearl like finish which I prefer more.
-With a primer, these shadows really come out very well on my eyes.
-All the three shades are very pretty and gorgeous.
-Highlighter looks good at inner corner of my eyes.
-45 Eye Catching trios are available.

Cons Of The Product:
-Availability is an issue.
-We have to pay almost double its real price in India.
-This particular trio doesn't have a shade which could be used in crease or outer corner.
-Almost all the colors look similar on eyelids.
-Without a primer these crease within an hour.
-Without a primer, these do not look pigmented either.
-These do not blend nicely, I mean it ok nothing compared to what I had expected.
-Staying power with a primer is like 3-4 hours.
-These shades wont come out on pigmented lids.
-The bluish highlighter is more on bluish side so doesn't look good when used under the brow bone.
-These shades are not very wearable.I mean not suitable for day wear.
-Contains Parabens.

Rating: 3 out of 5 (Only for this trio)
Will I repurchase it? I will definitely purchase but other trios from this range, not this one.

My Overall Recommendation: If you do not have pigmented lids and love blue eye shadows then you can go for this one provided you have a good quality eye shadow base.

Nyx Rouge Cream Blush 'Glow'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review one of my favorite and mostly used products these days.Nyx Rouge cream blush in 'Glow' is more of a winter blush and thus I am thoroughly enjoying using it these days.

What The Company Says?

Ingredients: Mineral Oil (and) Ethylene / Propylene / Styrene Copolymer (and) Butylene / Ethylene / Styrene Copolymer, Myristyl Lactate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Polyethylene, Mica, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyisobutene, Beeswax, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Ethylhexyglycerin, Phenoxyethanol. Price- 6.50$, In India you get this for Rs 650 and from several online shopping sites for Rs 520 for 3.5 gm.

My Take On This Product:

I never knew anything about cream blushes some six months back and used to think blushes come only in powder form. After going through several blog posts related to cream blushes, I ordered Nyx Cream blushes  from an online shopping site.I have purchased 4 shades in all and love each of these.I have-
-Rose Petal
-Natural
-Tea Rose
-Glow

Nyx Cream blushes are extremely creamy in nature and required in very less amount for that natural flush on your cheeks. These blushes come in similar packaging in black pan like that of Mac Cream blend blushes. There is a see through flip cap through which you can check the shade. These blushes impart dewy yet natural look however these are buildable and can be used to create intense effect too.

These blushes stay on my dry skin for some 4-5 hours without a primer. These blushes blend like dream, and I dont think makeup beginners will face any problem using it.

The shade glow is a barbie pink color blush which I wear only while going out for parties.I wont recommend this shade for everyday wear. This shade is not everybody's cup of tea. However this doesn't look ott if you apply very small amount and blend well.

Pros Of The Product:
-There are some 13 shades available in this range.
-These are damn reasonable for the quantity provided.
-I can never complete a cream blush entirely because we require so less each time.
-Quality is comparable with cream blushes of high end brands
-These blushes are buildable which I like a lot.
-These blushes impart dewy effect on my skin.
-They impart a natural flush which looks awesome.
-The blushes blend like a dream.
-These days available at several online shopping sites for great discounts.
-I love its packaging.
-Never ever broke me out.
-It doesn't have shimmers.

Cons Of The Product:
-These blushes contain mineral oil so may not suit some people.
-Oily skin people may not like the dewy effect.
-These are prone to melting during summer.
-You can go overboard with this particular shade Glow.
-In India these are sold at double their original price.

Rating:4.25 out of 5
Will I repurchase it? I wont need to, this will last me for a long time.

My Overall Recommendation: If you love barbie pink shade and long lasting dewy effect on your skin then surely go for this shade.

Ok this is me wearing the blush Glow in this pic. Me looking so plump ! :p
