Maybelline Colossal Eye liner Review

What The Company Says?

Enjoy eye-catching intensity and flawless precision with the Maybelline New York Colossal Liner.
Designed to end all your application woes, the Maybelline New York Colossal Liner features a 0.4 mm Flexi Tip applicator that gives you perfect, error-free lines. Empowered with the Ink Pigment Technology, this Colossal Eyeliner imparts fade-proof, intense color to your eyes. Its quick-dry formula ensures a 12-hour staying power and quick application. Add this kajal eyeliner to your vanity kit and enjoy stunningly defined eyes, everyday!

Price: Rs 425 for 1.2 ml

My Experience:
Packaging: It comes in a pen form with flexible foam applicator. Its packaging is very similar to Maybelline hyperglossy liner. But its tip is more longer n broader at the base. I do not find any issues while applying it. Its flexible tip helps a lot in drawing neat thinner and thicker lines. It is a great liner for cat eye makeup. But I feel, if you have small eyes, you might face issues with it due to broader base of the applicator.

Shadewise: It is an intense black shade. I really liked to see how intense it is. It looks so good with eye shadows and full makeup on.

Pigmentation: It is really pigmented, not at all watery or anything. It glides really well and shows up with one swipe on my eyes.

Texture & Finish: It has right consistency, neither too runny nor too thick. It has glossy finish. I really like my liners to be glossy, I do not much like matte liners. So this is a winner in that sphere.

Longevity: I really had not expected much, but I was so so surprised guys. It has such incredible staying power. I used it on my eyes and went out, after I came back after 8 hours, it was still there on my eyes with no fading. It does not peel off like other glossy liners. It fades evenly. It gets easily removed with a makeup remover. I find only con with it and that is it is not waterproof, it can melt during summers.

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes I think so, except its one con that its not waterproof, I have no qualms over it. I am really using it like every day. I am loving it. <3  <3

Iraya Fenugreek Hair Conditioner Review

What The Company Says?

Nourishes & improves hair texture. Restores natural shine and vitality.
A classic South-Indian ritual for strong healthy hair; with concentrated fenugreek and soya lecithin, this nutrient-rich conditioner promotes healthy hair. Regular use nourishes the scalp, helps improve hair texture and restores the natural shine and vitality to hair.

Charaka, the ancient Ayurveda physician, says that Fenugreek is a universal healer. Fenugreek seeds or 'methi' contain protein and nicotinic acid, both of which aid hair growth. The seeds contain large amounts of lecithin, which makes the hair healthy, strong, hydrated and dandruff free.

Ingredients:Fenugreek (Trigonella Foenum-Graecum), Fenugreek Seeds (Trigonella Foenum-Graecum), Cetostearyl Alcohol, Glycerol Fatty Acid Ester, Vegetable Glycerine, Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus Grandis), Phenoxyethanol, Rose Indian, Sandalwood, Neroli.

Price: Rs 395 for 150 ml.

My take on this product:
I love using fenugreek seed powder with my hair packs and shampoos. Due to very high lecithin content it keeps my hair hydrated and glossy. I was really impressed to see Iraya stocking fenugreek hair conditioner, so I thought to purchase it and give this a try.

Packaging: It comes in a see through bottle with a pump dispenser. The bottle is not too bulky, it is lightweight. Loads of information regarding usage and efficacy of the product in mentioned in the bottle. Usage becomes easy due to pump dispenser, which dispenses pea sized amount of conditioner. However this is not travel friendly due to the dispenser, product can leak during travelling.

Efficacy: This conditioner has typical fragrance of incense sticks. I had no qualms over it but am sure many people may not prefer it. I have coarse, thick and dry hair. It tends to get tangled easily. I use this conditioner after shampooing my hair with Jason Aloe vera shampoo. This conditioner is devoid of any dimethicone or you can say silicone conditioners. Thus you would require bit more quantity compared to other conditioners available at market. I applied it at the mid section of my hair and at the ends which tends to get rough. I usually leave it for 5 minutes to work properly and then rinse it off. It is slightly runny in consistency. After usage, I find my hair really hydrated, glossy and less tangled. It does not make my hair limp at all. It keeps the bounce for 3-4 days. My hair looks naturally healthy. This may not give you relief completely if you have very dry hair but it works. It is subtle and it does not lead to any product build up. I wish quantity was bit more than 150 ml.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

My Overall Recommendation: Highly Recommended! I am going to buy it again as it suits my hair really well.

Chambor Powder Matte Lipstick in Rubis Rouge Review

Hello Sweeties!
Today I am reviewing another beautiful matte red lipstick shade from my collection. This is another favourite red lipstick of mine. Please do check my review to know more about it and this range.
What The Company Says?
An Innovative Formulated Lipstick which has both Moisturizer + Matte Effect in it. Powder Matte Lipsticks have a Non-Drying Triple Action Formula which:
Bright bold perfectly matte.
This unique powder matte lipstick provides high impact payoff; an ultra pigmented long wearing vitamin enriched formula glides on effortlessly with comfortable wear.
Long wearing application.

Price: Rs 595 for 4.5 g

My Take on this Product:

Packaging: This lipstick comes encased in a navy bluish casing with the logo of chamber engraved over its cap. The cover fits snugly and shuts with a click. Packaging is similar to Chambor silk touch lipsticks. The earlier rubberised packaging was not reliable enough. All the information including ingredient list in printed in the carton provided.

Shade: Rubis Rouge is the brightest shade of all from Chambor matte range. It is a deep warm red shade with orangish tones. This will look flattering on Indian skin tones.

Texture & Finish: These lipsticks have velvety soft texture with matte finish. These lipsticks do not make my lips dry like mac matte ones. However if you have dry lips this lipstick can highlight your fine lines. I did not face any drying issue but yes these are not hydrating like L’Oreal moist matte lipsticks. These lipsticks do not feather at all without a lip liner.

Pigmentation & Coverage: It is definitely pigmented but I need at least 3-4 swipes for full coverage. It slightly feels waxy initially and multiple swipes are needed to conceal pigmented lips.

Longevity: It stays on my lips for some 5 hours + plus with small meals in between. It sets easily on my lips leaving soft pink stain. Stain is not as bad as the ones I get with Colorbar lipsticks. It is not transfer proof but much better than other lipsticks in the market.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

My Recommendation: Chambor powder matte range has some 18 shades. I found most of the shades to be quite boring. Among all the shades, rubis rouge caught my attention. It is a bright red lipstick with orange undertones. It is somehow similar to Mac lipstick Ruby Woo. So if you guys are looking out for an affordable dupe of ruby woo, then try this one. I would recommend this lipstick to all red matte lipstick lovers.

Mac Sheertone Powder blush 'Peaches' Review

Hi Sweeties!
Today I would like to review one of the well known cult favorite blusher from the brand Mac cosmetics.I have had love and hate relationship with their products. So lets see if this product fairs well on my NC 42 skin tone.

What the company says?

Colour for the cheeks and face. Various formulas. Different looks.

Price- 22 $

Peaches- Pure Peach

My Take on This Product:
Packaging: Mac Powder blush comes in plastic pan packaging with a see through cover which I prefer for easy identification of the shade. ‘Mac’ logo is engraved on the top of the see through cover and shade name along with finish is mentioned at the bottom of the pan. Overall packaging is nun fussy and classy. One can go through the complete list of ingredients mentioned in the outer carton.

Shade: ‘Peaches’ is a pretty true Peach shade. On my medium skin tone (NC 42) this blush gives a hint of peach. This shade is summery and fresh. People with lighter skin tone will love using it. It would not show up on people with deeper skin tone. Suitable upto NC 37.

Pigmentation: True to its name it is a sheer blush and needs many layers to show up on my skin tone. I do not prefer insanely pigmented blushers but I also do not like sheer blushers. This would be a fantastic pick for lighter skin tone. Though it is buildable I feel it does not give me desired result.

Texture & Finish: Sheertone blushers come with soft matte finish. These are sans any shimmers. Sheertone blushers blend easily on my skin. They do not accentuate the pores.

Longevity: It stays on my skin for some 4 hours + with a primer. I experienced better staying power with powder blushers from Mac.

Overall Rating: 3.75 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? No I am not a fan of sheertone blushers from Mac. I feel these are moderately pigmented and show up better on lighter skin tone. On my NC 42 skin tone, they hardly show up.

My Overall Recommendation: I would recommend this shade to people with lighter skin (preferably below NC 42-Mac studio fix range). It is a moderately pigmented blush with true peach shade.

Price: Rs 995 for 4.2 g

Pure Vermeil- Endorsed by Fan Bingbing

Overall Experience:

Packaging: Lipstick comes encased in sophisticated black casing signed by star Fan Bingbing. Packaging is very similar to L’Oreal Paris moist matte lipsticks. However I liked the casing of L’Oreal moist matte one more. The casing has the shade block similar to the shade of the lipstick. Shade of the bullet is quite unique like the moist matte ones.

Shade: Pure Vermeil is a stunning shade from the entire range. It is a neon red coral pink shade and looks quite bold in person. I would recommend this shade alongwith Lincoln rose and Flaming Kiss for to be going brides. It looked similar to Lincoln rose but more bold and bright than the former.

Pigmentation & Coverage: It is richly pigmented shade. After a long time, I came across a range which is so intensely pigmented. It gives opaque coverage with two swipes. It completely conceals my pigmented lips. It is a great shade for people with pigmented lips.

Texture & Finish: Texture and finish is almost similar to most matte lipsticks. These shades come with matte finish and velvety soft texture. It feels very lightweight on my lips. It never makes my lips chapped or dry. It keeps my lips hydrated for a long time. It did not settle into lines and did not accentuate the appearance of lines .It is the best matte lipstick we now have in the market. I just wish the bullet would not break or melt during summers.

Staying Power: I wore this lipstick in the morning and it lasted on my lips for some 4-5 hours with light meals in between. The shade does not fade completely. It fades evenly leaving deep warm fuchsia pink stain which looks amazing on my NC 42 skin tone.

Rating: 4.75 out of 5 (Highly Recommended)

Worth Repurchasing: Absolutely! No doubt about that. Hoping to get a back up for this shade on offer next time. Fingers crossed. :p
