Avon Simply Pretty Blendable Eyeshadow Duo Starlight Aqua/Silver

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review Avon Simply pretty Blendable Eyeshadow Duo Starlight.I had purchased it couple of months back on offer. So check my review and swatches and decide if this is a must have or a totally chuck it out stuff!

I received it in very bad condition! :( You can check the Aqua shadow was damaged.

What The Company Says?

Price- Rs 189 for 1.7 grams, I got this for Rs 149 on offer.

My Take On This Product:
There are some three duos in this range out of which i really liked the Starlight one a lot.I have craze for Teal color eye shadows and eyeliners a lot.So when i found this duo on offer I had to get it under all circumstances. This duo comes in a see-through not so sturdy plastic packaging with sponge tip eye shadow applicator which is really helpful. Both shades Aqua and Silver are nicely pigmented, especially the silver one.You need just one swipe of silver one for your eyes. The Aqua shades is a very unique shade as it has golden micro shimmers which imparts a golden sheen to it, it shows duo-chrome effect too.In different lighting the Aqua shade looks different, sometimes more towards teal side and sometimes more towards golden side. Its an awesome shade which will be flattering for Indian skin tone specially.I totally recommend this shade for both wedding parties and evening wear.I have also worn it during daytime. Its a wearable blue shade which will suit Indian skin tone a lot.

Seriously guys check this out a lot.Its damn reasonable and pigmented. The texture of shadow is very soft and you need one swipe with the applicator for applying to the whole lid. These shadows stay on my eyes without a primer for maximum of 3 hours and with a primer for 4 hours +.Its staying power is pretty disappointing, yet for this much price what can you expect. You must have heard na 'Itne paise me itnaich milega' :p

Pros Of The Product:
-Very pretty shades are there.
-Both the shades are one swipe shades, I mean very pigmented.
-These shadows blend like dream guys, so effortlessly.
-The sponge applicator is very useful I use it for applying the Aqua shade over whole lid and sometimes to use silver one at the inner corners.
-Aqua shade has golden micro shimmers which imparts a golden sheen.
-Aqua shade shows duo chrome effect.
-Aqua shade will be very flattering for Indian skin tones.
-Both shades can be paired up to create a party look in an instant.
-Very wearable shades.
-These are so pigmented that you wont need a primer to show their intensity.
-Available at very reasonable shade.
-You need really little bit so quantity is good too.
-You can use both shades with several other shades to create many unique eye makeup.
-Texture is quite soft and blending is awesome.
-Its hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.

Cons Of The Product:
-Very brittle packaging.
-Only available through Avon Representatives.
-Without a primer staying power is 3 hours maximum and with a primer its 4 hours or so.
-Recently I am getting some chemical kind smell from it. :(

Rating: 4 out of 5

Will I Repurchase it? I have already bought another one for backup :p

My Overall Recommendation: It has a very wearable blue shade which will look flattering on Indian skin tones. Both aqua and silver are highly pigmented.I recommend this duo to all of you as it wont burn holes in  your pocket, very pocket friendly and pretty good for the price.

Price: Rs 250 for 6.8 ml.

My Take On This Product:
I bought this particular shade when I was staying at Kolkata from one of my most visited cosmetic store Modern Museum. This gloss was then recently launched by Maybelline and hence I didn't know anything about it before visiting the store. The SA was quite friendly with me and thus suggested me this range. When I swatched these glosses my god I was kind of surprised with the pigmentation. It was almost like a lip color that gives opaque coverage with one swipe.I really loved this range mainly because of its price. You get lots of quantity at such reasonable price.I swatched many shades and  then found shade' Hooked on Pink' a wearable shade rather a shade which really looked good on me.I can wear it lightly as a tint and even as a pigmented opaque lip color which covers up my pigmented lips.

This gloss comes in a transparent tube with a doe foot applicator which picks up right quantity of product you need each time.It contains very subtle golden sparkles which do not show up on lips after application. The lipgloss feels sticky for two minutes after application leaving beautiful soft pink lips.I don't feel any stickiness after 2 minutes and it feels lightweight too.The staying power is 2-3 hours without a meal. This gloss however leaves a pink tint behind.Considering the price and quantity I highly recommend this range and this shade too. This is an amazing Berry kind shade which will suit everyone from Dark, medium to light complexion.

Pros Of The Product:
-Very pretty pinky, berry kind shade.
-Very pigmented lipgloss, imparts opaque coverage to my pigmented lips.
-It has doe foot applicator that helps in even application of lipgloss.
-The applicator picks up right quantity of product require for each application thus avoiding loss of product.
-The quantity is huge for the price.
-Available at reasonable price.
-Available at almost all cosmetic shops these days.
-It feels lightweight and non sticky.
-Keeps my lips soft.
-Fades evenly leaving a soft pink tint behind.
-Staying power is 2-3 hours which is pretty good for a gloss.
-Very pretty red and plum shades are available in this range.
-It will suit almost all skin tones.
-Its a good shade for parties.

Cons Of the Product:
-After application the gloss feels sticky for sometime.
-I wish there were some coral and peachy shades available in this range too.
-Too bright and gorgeous shades so may not everyone's cup pf tea.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes definitely but some other shade.
Overall Recommendation: 'Hooked On Pink' is a pretty gorgeous pinkish berry kind shade which gives opaque coverage to lips with almost single swipe.I would highly recommend this range and shade. For The price and quantity it is available, I will say its a steal.Do go for this one for sure!

Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow 'Pearl 428'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review Inglot Freedom System 'Pearl 428' which I recently purchased from Shopatmajorbrands.com during their 20% flat Sale on Inglot Cosmetics.

Price- Rs 300 for 2.7 Grams in Square Refills/ 1.5 Grams in Round Refills, I got this for Rs 230 after discount.

My Take On This Product:
I was waiting for a sale at Shopatmajorbrands.com since a long time as I had missed their 30% sale before.I have tried their gel liners and eye shadows in past too.I was superimpressed by their quality and wide range of products available.I almost went mad seeing the collection at their store. :p Anyways this time I wanted to try few of their 'Pearl' eye shadows  and blushes which are so raved about.I prefer eye shadows with pearl finish over shimmery ones, so I purchased those this time.

I bought all Freedom System Eye shadow refills as they are economical and you get a lot of quantity in case of square refills. These in pan costs around Rs 680 for 1.5 Grams, where as you get these refills for just Rs 300 for 1.5 Grams in case of Round refills, or 2.75 Grams in case of square refills. This thing sounds so weird no?I mean less quantity high price ?? I even bought all blush refills as they were damn economical too.If you go to stores, you cant buy refills without purchasing a palette. So thats why I prefer this site for buying refills, as you wont have to buy an empty palette, in order to purchase Freedom System refills.Generally I check for swatches online, decide shades that I like and then order online.

Ok now back to the product, Inglot Pearl 428 is a bright 'Midnight Blue' shade with a pearl finish. Its a damn pigmented eye shadow.I need just one swipe with my eye shadow brush for applying all over the lid.It blends nicely too without leaving any harsh lines. It immediately pops up my eyes, brightens a dull face.Whenever I use this shadow, I prefer a nude lipsticks as the shadow makes my entire eye makeup quite vibrant. This is so pigmented that I always skip an eye primer whenever I use this. :p Without a primer it stays for some 4 hours + on my eyes with slight creasing. With an Eye shadow primer, it stays for 6 hours + with not very distinct creasing. The texture of the shadow is pretty soft, but pressed in compact form so leads to no wastage of product. Its a must have shadow for Parties I feel, you can also use it on your outer corner with some light shadow on your lid, or may pair it with black to create smokey eyes, or even use it as an eyeliner. The quantity provided is good and will last me for a long time as I need just a single swipe each time.

Pros of The product:
-Its a bright Midnight blue shade.
-Texture is pretty soft but never leads to product wastage as it is in compact form.
-It has pearl kind finish with no visible distinct shimmers.
-Very apt for Party wear.
-It can be used with black to create smokey eyes or can be used as an eyeliner.
-With a primer creases little bit after 6 hours.
-Very pigmented and hence required just a bit for whole lid application.
-It will last me for a long time.
-Quantity provided is good.
-Wide range of colors available in this range.
-This shade immediately brightens up my face.
-Now we can buy Inglot products from Shopatmajorbrands.com
-These are fragrance and Paraben Free.

Cons Of The product:
-Freedom System shadows cannot be purchased from stores without purchasing an empty palette.
-I simply do not understand why Inglot has overpriced their products available in pan, even though quantity is very less.
-These may crease in few hours if you have oily lid.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Definitely,  but other shades. :p

My Overall Recommendation: Please purchase these beauties if you like shadows with pearl finish. These are totally worth the price.

Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush 'Night Sheen'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review Lakme Absolute cheek Chromatic blush in shade 'Night Sheen'. I have already reviewed their blush in shade 'Day Sheer' before HERE.

What The Company Says?
Have irresistible rosy cheeks with Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush. It contains antioxidants and Vitamin E which hydrates and rejuvenates your skin. You can so easily fall in love with the luminous Blush as you use this luxurious powder for a shimmering glow.

Features
Lakme Absolute Cheek Chromatic Baked Blush is a luxurious powder blush for shimmering glow. Its extraordinary luminosity will make you fall in love with it.
Contains  antioxidants and vitamin E.
  • Get a shimmering glow with this luxurious powder blush
  • Extraordinary luminosity
  • Antioxidant Vitamin E
How to use
Day Look
  • With a brush gently sweep the blush across your cheeks using gentle upward strokes.
Night Look
  • To intensify the shimmer, first apply absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse over face and neck.
  • Then follow instructions for Day Look.
Price: Rs 550 for 4 Grams, I got this after discount and offer for Rs 317 :)

My Take On This Product:
I was not very impressed with the blush 'Day Sheer' much due to presence of stark golden shimmers in it.However the blush 'Night Sheen' is a very pretty peachy brown blush with very finely milled golden shimmers that imparts a silky golden sheen to your cheeks. Its a very flattering shade for Indian Skin Tones.

Its comes in a pot like packaging with a see through transparent cover.I prefer this a lot as you can check the shades easily when you are in a hurry. On the transparent cover very beautifully L is embossed on it.There is a card inside mentioning instructions for use during day and night time.

The blush is dome-shaped and a pretty 'Peachy Brown' shade which is so versatile that you can very much wear it during day to your workplace and also during night to some party,I really mean it guys. Those with fair skin tones, can also use it for contour purpose.

This blush is not very soft like 'Day Sheer, which i liked because in this way there is product wastage while picking up with the blusher brush.I require one swipe of this blush for light Natural application and two when I want to intensify it.I really liked its pigmentation as its moderate and I can use it according to my need.
Staying power of this blush is 4-5 hours, It fades evenly leaving slight peachiness at the end of the day.The texture of the blush is neither very soft or hard. However, I wont say it blends like a dream or anything.I mean you need a good fluffy blusher brush for blending it, flat ones wont blend it nicely.Anyways, Its entirely fine for me as I have fluffy blusher brush with me.Overall I am very impressed with this shade and recommend it to everyone.

Pros Of The Product:
-Very pretty Peachy Brown shade.
-This particular shade is apt for Indian skin tones.
-The texture of the blush is quite soft and blends well.
-Its a moderately pigmented blush, so you can use according to your need.
-Staying power is near to 4 -5hours.
-Packaging is very attractive.
-It can be used for contouring purpose too.
-Its one of the cheapest baked blush available in the market.
-Its a versatile shade and can be used both during day and night.
-It contains very finely milled golden shimmers which gives a pretty golden sheen to cheeks.
-Never accentuates my pores.
It will last me for a long time.
-Lakme India website has finally updated about Lakme Absolute range. :p

Cons Of The product:
-Not provided with a blusher brush or mirror.
-It may seem pricy for many people.
-Very few limited shades are available in this range.
-I wish they had at least one matte blush in this range.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? I wont need to.It will last me  for a long time

My Overall Recommendation: Very flattering shade for Indian Skin tones. So highly recommended.

I have applied two swipes to show you guys!
