Bourjois Paris Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation 'Miel Subtil'

Hello Friends!
I bought the Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation from StyleCraze.com during their year end sale.I got this at 15% discount.I wanted to try this foundation since a long time as I am a great fan of mineral makeup.I so wish to use only safe makeup on my skin.Anyways I had great expectations from this product. So do you think I found my HG Foundation? Do read on to know more.

Rs 835 for 18 ml, I got this for Rs 705 after discount.

My Take On This Product:
I do not prefer to buy foundation online without checking the swatches it person. But I wanted to have this mineral matte foundation since a longggg time.I found this at an online shopping site at great discount, so I checked the shade chart and found all the shades except 'Miel Subtil' either looked very dark or had pink undertones, only this shade seemed to suit my skin tone.I ordered this shade immediately though I knew it was a great risk.

This foundation comes in tub like packaging with nice classy black screw cap.The quantity though is 18 ml, due to its mousse consistency will last me for a long time.I need very little amount for full face. When you touch the foundation, its consistency is very creamy but after you apply on your skin it melts fast in your skin to matte powder finish. It melts so fast that I was very surprised.

This foundation never ever gets cakey. It imparts medium coverage but can be layered up to nearly full coverage without getting the mask effect. It conceals acne marks nicely even redness of the pimples effectively. It doesn't completely conceal the freckle marks but in a way blurs them out.It matches my skin tone, the best thing is that it neutralizes the yellow undertone of my skin.It instantly brightens up my face.It stays on my skin all day long. Even after coming back home after 8.30 pm, I still see the brightening effect on my face.I look fresh all day long.
This foundation did not break me out at all.It makes my face very smooth and imparts a semi-matte finish. The finish is so fine and flawless that I no more need loose powder or compact to set my foundation. It gives an air-brushed effect and I am really impressed with this product.Only con is that is flash photography I felt it left a white cast on my face but of course not like the ghostly white cast that Maybelline mousse foundation leaves.
Pros Of The Product:
-Its a mineral mousse foundation which is completely safe for our skin.
-Consistency is very creamy but instantly melts to give matte finish.
-This foundation completely eliminates a compact or loose powder from my makeup regimen.
-Imparts semi matte finish.
-It gives medium to nearly complete coverage without getting cakey.
-It brightens up my face, and I look fresh all day long.
-It never broke me out.
-I wore this went out in the sun , traveled all day long but didn't see any kind of tanning or dullness in my skin.
-One can never get wrong with this foundation.
-It covers acne marks and redness of pimples effectively, even blurs my freckle marks.
-Never gives me that made up look.I look quite natural using it.
-Gives that air brushed effect which I have always dreamt of.
-It stays for a long time even after prolonged sun exposure.
-It requires very less quantity for face and neck.
-Neutralizes Yellow undertone of my skin.
-Its Dermatologically tested and has non pore blocking formula.
-Keeps my skin well hydrated.
-Complete list of ingredients is given.

Cons Of The Product:
-Its pretty costly for only 18 ml of the product.
-Only 5-6 shades are available and mostly not for our skin tone.
-In flash photography, white cast is visible on my face.
-I have read very contradictory reviews on this product. Some completely swear by this product and some claim that this product broke them out horribly. So I wont suggest this product to very sensitive skin and also if you are allergic to silicon based foundation.
-It does not conceal my freckles completely.
-Those who love foundation that gives dewy finish may not like it.
-Its not fragrance free.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes I may repurchase it.

My Overall Recommendation: If you are not allergic to silicon based foundation and like semi- matte finish with medium to nearly complete coverage then please rush and grab this one for sure. Its an amazing  foundation.

I am wearing Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation both the Pics.First one in Artificial Light,Second one in Natural Light.

Faces Canada Blush 'Burnt Sienna'

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review a blush named 'Burnt Sienna' from  the brand Faces Canada. This is a matte peach shade which I love to use almost everyday to my lab.Now read on my review to know more.

What The Company Says?
-Vitamin e and hyalouronic acid enriched, minimizes skin imperfections.
-Long stay, easy to blend color formula with a creamy texture
-Lanolin free.

Rs 299 for 8 gm.

My Take On This Product:
I came to know about this blush after going through Ankita's review HERE Its a matte warm peachy shade which I prefer to wear almost everyday of the season.I have been using it since two months and simply cant stop loving it.I feel like buying another one for backup :p  , though I know it will last me for a long time indeed. This comes in a round black pan in compact form.It has a big mirror lodged inside of the cover but no brush is provided with it.I don't prefer blushes provided with small brushes because due to that the quantity of the blush gets reduced and half the space is occupied the brush itself which are not very long lasting and quite scratchy.

Anyways this blush is quite soft and pigmented. With one swipe very little blush gets transferred to the brush as the blush is in a compact form.I like that because there is no product wastage while picking up the blush.I need two swipes for that envious peachy glow on my cheeks which looks absolutely gorgeous on my skin tone. ( He He He I am praising myself :p) I really adore this peachy blush and I have noticed even after using it so much, hardly the blush looks used. There is seriously lots of quantity in the pan. This blush is suitable for both day and night wear. The blush looks orangish but after blending you get a subtle peachiness on your skin.

Pros Of The Product:
-Its a pretty true peach shade blush.
-The texture of the blush is quite soft but does not lead to any product wastage while picking it up.
-It comes in compact form inside a pan.
-Comes with a big mirror.
-Quantity is 8gm which is really good for the price.
-You hardly need 1-2 swipes for that desired peachy glow.
-It blends like a dream, seriously blending is super awesome.
-Staying power is more than 6 hours without a face primer.
-Will suit all skin types, even dark skin tones.
-Its price is pretty reasonable.
-Some unique pinky blushes also come in this range.
-Its not a bit shimmery.
-Its quite pigmented too.

Cons Of The Product:
-Availability is an issue.
-It does not come with a blusher brush.
-Packaging could be classy like their Glam on range.
-Faces Cosmetics India site is no more working.
-This is the only brand without a proper publicity from the brands itself.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5

Will I repurchase it? Yes after it gets finished, I will surely buy another one.Its totally worth the price.

My Overall Recommendation: Do grab this blush if you do not have a single true matte peach blush in your stock. Its really a gorgeous yet wearable blush suitable for both day and night wear.

Nyx Trio Eyeshadow 'Aquamarine' TS40

Hello Friends!
Today I am going to review one of the trios from the much raved about Nyx Trio Eyeshadow range.I have trios 'Guru' and 'Aquamarine' from the range. So read on to know my take on this eye makeup trio.

Price- 8$, In India its Rs 650. I got this for Rs 520 after discount.

What The Company Says?
Three’s definitely company when it comes to this trio of fashionably coordinated eye shadow shades in the NYX Trio Eye Shadow palette. Apply your statement shade on the eye lid, blend with the crease color and finish with the highlight. Includes a dual-ended sponge applicator and mirror for on-the-go touch-ups. Available in 45 eye-catching palette variations.

My Take On This Product:
Due to my sweet fellow bloggers I was kind of compelled to buy two trios 'Guru' and 'Aquamarine' from this range.Superb reviews and swatches on trio ' Copper Walnut Rust' made me really go for these two :p First I bought the trio' Guru' and totally loved it so I went for Aquamarine' thinking it will suit me as blue liners look really good on my brown hazel eyes.
First when I got this trio, I just couldn't stop staring at this trio as it looks so pretty guys.

Anyways, this trio comes in a black classy palette with three different shades of eye shadows in it.It has a see through cover and a mirror lodged in the inner side of the cover. The mirror is big enough for doing your entire makeup. It has got a sponge applicator which is of extremely good quality. It will last you for a long time.I basically use the applicator for using my Deborah baked eye shadows. It has some 3.6 gm of product which is quite good for the price. These shadows have 'Pearl like' finish.

                                              Without a primer
I was very impressed with the trio 'Guru' but this trio is kind of different.Ok the shades are basically:
 -Bluish Highlighter.
-Turquoise Blue
-Cobalt Blue
When I got hold of this, I tried an EOTD.I was so much in a hurry that I didn't use any primer. So i found that without a primer all the shades which look so pretty and distinct in the pan actually mix up to give you similar effect specially if one has pigmented lids. These shades are not much pigmented either. These shades creased badly within 1 hour on my lids.I don't have much oily lids or dark circles. But still it happened like that. The shades don't blend nicely also.

                                          With a primer
These shades are very 'Primer Intensive'.With a good primer underneath, these shades look distinct and nice on my eyes. They stay on my eyes for 3-4 hours with a primer.Overall I found this trio would come out nicely on fair skin tone people and definitely suit people with blue eyes.I found the trio' Guru' much better than this one in terms of blending, staying power and pigmentation.

Pros Of The Product:
-This comes in a black sturdy palette form.
-It has a see through cover, so I am not confused which trio is this.
-There is a mirror lodged inside the cover.
-Sponge Applicator is of very good quality.
-Its has 3.6gm of product so good for the price.
-These shades have pearl like finish which I prefer more.
-With a primer, these shadows really come out very well on my eyes.
-All the three shades are very pretty and gorgeous.
-Highlighter looks good at inner corner of my eyes.
-45 Eye Catching trios are available.

Cons Of The Product:
-Availability is an issue.
-We have to pay almost double its real price in India.
-This particular trio doesn't have a shade which could be used in crease or outer corner.
-Almost all the colors look similar on eyelids.
-Without a primer these crease within an hour.
-Without a primer, these do not look pigmented either.
-These do not blend nicely, I mean it ok nothing compared to what I had expected.
-Staying power with a primer is like 3-4 hours.
-These shades wont come out on pigmented lids.
-The bluish highlighter is more on bluish side so doesn't look good when used under the brow bone.
-These shades are not very wearable.I mean not suitable for day wear.
-Contains Parabens.

Rating: 3 out of 5 (Only for this trio)
Will I repurchase it? I will definitely purchase but other trios from this range, not this one.

My Overall Recommendation: If you do not have pigmented lids and love blue eye shadows then you can go for this one provided you have a good quality eye shadow base.
