I wanted to try the facial scrubs from the brand Hip Hop Skin Care since a long time, thanks to Ankita of beautiful Corallista Makeup Blog.She had reviewed their Kiwi Scrub which drew my attention to this not so well known brand.

 This range comprises of the following scrubs:

-Kiwi Scrub

-Strawberry Scrub

-Coffee Scrub

-Apricot Scrub

Price: Rs 80 for 120 gm scrub, I got this for Rs 72, Rs 50 for 60gm scrub.

How to Use

My Take on Hip Hop Coffee Scrub:

This is one of the most inexpensive and best facial scrub available in the market now.I was satisfied using their nail polish remover wipes, which I have reviewed HERE. First I wanted to buy their Kiwi scrub but it looked so similar to the Aroma magic glow scrub that I skipped it.I have used the whole tube of Aroma magic scrub so a bit bored now. :p I have always used coffee along with sugar and yogurt as a scrub.My home made coffee scrub was my HG scrub and its effect was very much visible on my skin.It had such brightening effect on me that used to last for 2-3 days.The effect was so good that many of my friends started using coffee scrub seeing mine.Anyways now in this new hostel, I kind of feel bored to make this coffee scrub so when I saw this ready to use Coffee scrub from Hip Hop skin care brand at an online shopping site,just could not stop myself and immediately purchased it.

This scrub is very creamy with big,coarse light and dark brown granules.It somehow smells of coffee, chocolate along with some synthetic fragrance. This scrub leaves my skin squeaky clean and hydrated for quite some time.It removes layer of dead cells leaving smooth clear skin thus instantly relieving dull tired looking skin.It has controlled my whiteheads to a great extent.I do not get new blackheads now even after extended sun exposure.This scrub has somehow controlled the blackheads and even removed some of the existing ones.Though there has been no effect on deep seated stubborn blackheads of mine.It contains Shea butter so keeps my skin hydrated but for some 15-20 minutes in this winter.I feel the need to use a moisturizer as my skin starts feeling a bit stretchy.People those who have sensitive skin and need a gentle scrub wont like this scrub as it has big granules which are coarse in texture like sand particles.Anyways this didn't break me at all and I would recommend this scrub to everybody except people with sensitive skin.

Cons of Hip Hop Skin Care Coffee Scrub:

>Complete list of ingredients not mentioned.

>It has big coarse granules so excessive rubbing may lead to microscopic tears leading to increase in skin sensitivity.

>My dry skin feels bit stretchy after 15-20 minutes of usage.

>Fragrance is somehow synthetic.

>I had expected the scrub to contain more coffee extracts. :D

>They recommend this product for all skin types which doesn't go well with my understanding of concept regarding different need for different skin type.

>Available only in  Maharashtra and now at urban touch.com

>The brand has not been promoted or marketed in a proper way.There is no website of the brand.

Will I repurchase it? I may buy their Kiwi scrub, but Biotique papaya scrub is always my favorite.

My Overall Recommendation:I recommend this product to almost everybody except people with sensitive skin and those who like very mild scrub.This is a must buy skin product available at such reasonable price for huge quantity.

My Overall Shopping Experience:

Some 6-7 months when I was quite new in the makeup and fashion world and didn't know anything about online shopping much,I came across UrbanTouch.com.Its page was flashing on my Facebook page, for two weeks I simply used to visit the site and check what all brands were available.I clearly remember there were just 6-7 brands available and thus it didn't catch my attention.Once when Kimi of Beauty Diaries mentioned that she had ordered for 12 color Nyx palette from the site,I checked out the site.I was surprised to see some 30- 40 brands were updated. I couldn't resist my temptation and placed my order on 7 June 2011 and continue to place till date.

Total though its showing 30, I have shopped 22 times from them in last five months.

 Now I have stuff from several International brands like Nyx ,Organic Surge and several others.I prefer this website as they offer COD and free shipping on all orders.Its only urbantouch that offers COD option to my place at Ranchi.Not a single site except that offers COD and this is the reason why I always stick to online shopping from urbantouch.com.I have shopped exactly 22 times from their site in past 5 months.Recently i had some 'Khatti Mithi ' experience with them:
1-One month back I ordered Faces Moisture Extreme Lipsticks in shade Peach blossom and First Lady.The pictures of the shade some how do not match with the real lipstick.Anyways I found the tip of peach blossom shade was bit damaged and the first lady lipstick was detached from casing.I mailed them and the next day itself they mailed me a Rs 100 coupon code.I liked their prompt action and ordered more stuff.

2-In one of my recent orders they sent me Lotus Herbals Vanilla smooth body lotion instead of Lotus Whit glow Oatmeal scrub.At first I thought the body lotion was a free gift and they had forgotten to give me the scrub.When I mailed them, they called me back and told the scrub was misplaced with lotion.They didn't ask me to return the lotion, rather they immediately dispatched a Whit glow scrub the same day.
 
3-Now in my last order, I received a Nyx Auto eye pencil in Electric Blue.I was kind of excited to try it as I love blue liners a lot.When I opened the cap, immediately the liner popped out and I found it was entirely broken and there was simply no way to fix it.I clicked a picture of the whole mess and sent a mail to urban touch.com.Within few hours they mailed me back and asked if I wanted a full refund or a coupon of Rs 180 (Price of the pencil) as they didn't have the the particular shade in stock.I opted for coupon and applied that in my current order.

 4-Now in my current order I ordered Nyx Terracotta blush as it was in stock,but I received a call from them that though the option of add to cart is available at site, the blush is not in stock in real and I shall have to wait for it.Am still waiting for processing of my pending order.

In this picture, you can clearly see that Nyx Terracotta blush is available and thus I added it in my cart and placed order,but they called me up and said its out of stock

Plus Points:

-They stock wide range of skin care,hair care,make up products from several international and Indian brands.

-They offer several payment options including COD to remotest places.
 -I usually get my order within three days after ordering.

-I have requested in past to stock up products from some well known brands and they did it in a short span of time.

-Their customer service is very prompt, helpful and active. 

-They are offering surprise gift in every spend of Rs 500.

-Whenever I received damaged products from them, they offered me options of full refund or coupon worth of same price as the damaged product.
-They have recently added an option called 'Notify me'. When a product is out of stock,after clicking the option we will be notified they have it in stock and place order.

-Even after placing an order, we can call them up and cancel the entire order or ask them to remove few stuff from the order according to our convenience.

-Each and every day they add new products to existing brands and add new brands to existing list.

Minus Points:
-There should be a new section such as 'Whats New' corner, because its really difficult to browse all brands everyday to check what all they have added.

-In my recent order I received 4 Surprise Gifts. Out of 5, 2 were same products worth Rs 70 each.The third one was Rs 90 each and Forth one was Rs 275.Well there is so much disparity.

-These days, I noticed several stuff that showed available at their site was not available with them and they called me up and asked me to wait.The 'Out of Stock' icon should be there for such products.
-Most of the pictures of Lipstick shades do not match with the real product.

-They work from Monday to Friday.So if you have any problems in between that you cant contact them till Monday.

 -Once a product is out of stock, you never know when it will be in stock.It may be available the next day or after a long time or may be never.

Overall my shopping experience has been very pleasant with Urban Touch.com and I intend to shop more from them in near future.

My Take On Organic Surge Shine Boost Conditioner for Normal Hair:

Its been a month I am using the shine boost range from Organic Surge and my experience has been pleasant.The name of the conditioner should be Volume boost conditioner because this is the only conditioner I have used till date which boosted noticeable hair volume with natural  shine.Whenever I have used any other conditioner, by next day my hair used to be flat, limpy looking for which I used to avoid using conditioners.This is the only conditioner which instead of making my hair look flat has actually given fuller appearance to my hair.The conditioner is not very creamy,its consistency is light.When I wash my hair with this entire range I feel really pampering my hair with all nourishing natural ingredients that my hair deserves.The conditioner very effectively detangles my hair and maintains the hair volume without making it frizzy.I used the shampoo with conditioner and without it.Without the conditioner,it seems difficult to detangle my hair and it feels less soft.Everything is good about this conditioner except its fragrance.There is some strong fragrance with hints of citrus flavor.I kind of really distaste its fragrance.Anyways overall i am very happy with the results, just wish it was more readily available at lower price.

My Overall Recommendation: If you are desperately searching for a conditioner free of dimethicones, silicone conditioners, other harsh chemicals and it fits your budget then do go for it.

I just wish Indian Companies would introduce such SLS and Paraben free shampoos and dimethicone  free conditioners in near future at a reasonable price as spending so much on shampoos and conditioners is not possible for all of us.

Elle 18 Black Out Liner

As I am sitting in my room alone listening to romantic songs from the movie Murder 2, I thought why not to write another review of an inexpensive yet reliable product that I have been using since a long time!So read on to know my take on this product:

My Take on Elle 18 Black Out Liner:

This was the first eye liner i had purchased when I was in Class 8.I had bought this for just Rs 25 then.After that several liners came in my life and left :p I had long stopped using this and had completely forgotten about it until recently I saw the new Elle 18 black out liner from color bomb range.Though I love using glossy eye liners, I prefer  using matte liners for daily use.Thus as I needed a matte waterproof liner for daywear at reasonable price, none other than this liner came into my mind.The new liner is much better than the old one both in packaging and quality wise.It gives real cooling and soothing effect when applied on upper lash line.It dries up in a jiffy leaving true matte finish.When I splashed water on my face, the liner remained intact thus passing the waterproof test, but when I smudged the liner, it faded failing the smudge proof test.Anyways at such reasonable price I don't have much expectations and would love to say that its a nice inexpensive budget friendly liner.Highly recommended to teenagers and people who want to purchase matte waterproof liner within budget.

>Consistency of the liner is fine, neither too runny nor too thick.

>Dries up on lash line quickly leaving black matte finish.

>It has cooling and soothing effect on eyes.

>Many liquid liners get thick and the brush becomes messy with time but I didn't face any such problem with this liner.(Old ones used to get thick)

>It doesn't get streaky at all.

>Inexpensive budget friendly liner.

>Its a waterproof liner.

>Attractive trendy packaging.

>The brush is suitable for drawing very thin lines to thick lines.

>Readily available at cosmetic and stationary shops.

Cons of Elle 18 Black Out Liner:

>Only black shade available, the old ones had jaded green, bronze and another metallic pink sort of shades.
>List of complete ingredients is no where mentioned.

>The applicator tip is a soft brush that doesn't help in lining my eyes, I wished it had felt tip applicator.

>People who are not accustomed to liquid liners would find it difficult to get even lines.

>Its not smudge proof. 

>The shade is not intense black that I desire.

>Increase in price from Rs 35 to Rs 65.

Will I Repurchase it? Yes it s a nice matte black liquid liner apt for daily wear.

I got introduced to hip hop range of skincare products after Ankita of Corallista Blog reviewed their hip hop kiwi scrub.I purchased their coffee scrub after that which I am loving a lot these days ( will review soon). I had never before used any kind of nail polish remover wipes from any brand (never seen any such brands at cosmetic shops) and this is my first such purchase and am really loving it a lot.

My Take on this Product:
I have had horrible experience with nail polish remover in past, they over dry my nails and damage them too leaving rough white cuticles.So when I saw this nail polish remover wipes being available at such reasonable price, couldn't stop myself from ordering.Hip hop has wide range of skin care products like- Kiwi, Strawberry, coffee scrubs, wax strips, nail polish, lipstick and makeup remover wipes.
This product comes in a wide tub packaging with a tight screw cap and a lid to prevent the wipes from getting dry.A cute little tweezer is provided to remove wipes to avoid contamination.The wipes seriously have tangy fragrance mainly of citronella and lemon oil.These wipes are really damn effective in removing thick nail paints without much hassles unlike nail polish remover.They leave my nails clean and moisturised in few seconds.The conditioning effect wasn't as good as I had expected but it didn't dry my cuticles at all.One wipe is enough for removing nail paint from all ten fingers.30 wipes going to last me for a long time.This is seriously a must buy nail care product.
