Today I am going to review the Faces Canada Glam on Blush in shade 'Peach Glow'.

My Take On This Product:

Ever since Faces Cosmetics has launched their Glam on range, I have wanted to purchase their powder blush in ‘Crimson’ and cream blush in ‘Peach Glow’. I got this blush during winters and tried it few times then. The texture of the blush was nowhere near to creamy ones, it was exactly like the lip balms that come in tub packaging and harden up during winters. I tried many times to use this with a blusher brush  but not a single brush of mine could pick even 1% of the product. So I had to continuously dip my fingers and rub against the surface of the blush to warm it up a bit. This blush in the pan looks peachy crimson kind shade with fine golden shimmers. I have to make extra effort to blend this blush on my cheeks. I love peachy blushes a lot rather I am crazy for those but I am very disappointed with this blush. First of all due to its hard texture and second because of the difficulty in blending it. 

 

During winters this blush used to look very crimson kind of shade on my skin tone, nowhere near peach, so many a times it felt as if someone had punched me hard on my face   :p and sometimes like as if I had developed rashes and all (One of my aunties pointed it out L She asked me if I had developed some allergic reaction) Anyways I just kept it shut in my shelf and was waiting for the summers to approach. Now I find the blush has improved a bit texture wise but it imparts a crimson peachiness to my skin tone now, which if overdone makes me look aged. If I use less, then this lasts for maximum two hours. During day time one can clearly see golden sparkles too very clearly which are distributed throughout the blush. This blush has a pearlish finish and imparts a dewy glow, which is the only good factor about this blush. I loved its sleek sophisticated steel grey packaging, it comes with a mirror too. Its a very travel friendly blush as it never melts in summer and easily fits in my purse too. Though quantity is very less still you need very less and its going to last for a long time.

Cons Of The Product:

-I love peachy blushes but not crimson blushes, this blush imparts a crimson shade to my cheeks which either makes me look sick   :p or aged.

- Its absolutely difficult to blend this product, no brush can help in blending, you need to use your fingers as the texture is pretty hard.

-Dipping fingers every time increases chance of contaminating the blush.

-During day time, I don’t prefer to use it as I dislike golden sparkles on my cheeks then.

-It lasts hardly for 2 hours, the shade fades faster leaving the golden sparkles behind.

-Quantity provided is very less for the price these are available at.

-Quality wise this blush fails, as neither its texture is smooth nor does it stay for long time.

My Overall Recommendation: The Faces Glam on blushes no doubt come in improved sleek and travel friendly packaging but quality wise they fail to deliver.The texture of blush is pretty hard, no where like cream blushes and thus its very difficult to blend it.The staying power is around 2 hours maximum. So I think you can skip this range without any regret.I so wish they could have come out with much better formulation.They seem to be pricy for the quantity provided too.

My Take On This Product:

I remember when I was a child my mom used to cleanse my hair with a maroon colored soap named Shikakai Soap.I never liked its fragrance and always used to request my momma to buy Sunsilk shampoo for me (That time Sunsilk TV commercials  used to come) I clearly remember how thick and healthy my hair used to be.I used to have very curly and thick hair with almost no hair fall. The moment I bade Goodbye to Soaps and started using shampoos my ordeal with hair and scalp related problems started.So the moment I saw this Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Soap bar online, I really felt nostalgic remembering those good old days.

Though price of Soulflower soap really hit me hard but I thought to try it once and check how this one suits my dry hair.I checked online but did not get a single review, just got information regarding this product at the official site of Soulflower India.I was quite excited to try a hair shampoo bar after a long time that too which is completely free from SLS and contains no animal ingredients and harmful preservatives.

So coming back to review, this soap is maroon colored and has an ayurvedic yet refreshing fragrance.This soap is pretty bulky so I had to cut it into four chunks, this way it lasts long and does not feel bulky while using it.I have already finished one of the chunks and going to finish the second one by next week.Each of these soap chunks last for 8-9 washes on my shoulder length hair. So its going to last me a long time you see, pretty reasonable considering the lasting time.

This soap does not yield very rich lather yet I like it because I am satisfied that it does not contain SLS and second due to the creaminess of the lather.Whenever I use any shampoo on my dry hair and skip a conditioner then my hair gets tangled horribly.  :( This was the only shampoo which completely detangled my dry hair even after skipping a conditioner.It made my hair look darker, healthier and soft. It conditions my hair nicely, so I can skip a conditioner too.It controls frizz to some extent and makes hair bouncy.Generally I lose few strands with every wash after using any shampoo but this soap did not cause any hair fall in my case.I felt very very happy using it.

But whenever I apply oil and wash my hair, though initially my hair feels very soft and non greasy yet after two days my hair feels very limp and dull. So I think this is not for people with oily scalp. Its meant for dry hair and if you have very dry hair, you can use it and follow up with your HG Conditioner.I sometimes Apply Organic Surge conditioner after washing my hair with this soap.

If you are expecting extremely shiny Salon treated kind of hair then you will be disappointed, it makes my hair look and feel healthier.Shampoos and soaps free from SLS and harmful preservatives help in restoring the hair growth cycle and result in hair regrowth with continued usage.

Pros Of The Product:

-This shampoo bar contains Sandalwood, Geranium essential oil, Jojoba oil, Almond oil, Shikakai, Aloe vera gel.All these ingredients are well known and used in hair care since a long time.

-This soap leaves my hair squeaky clean yet does not strip off essential oils and moisture.

-This soap is devoid of any kind of harmful preservative and color.

-This soap is free of SLS.

-This soap contains no animal ingredients. 

-This soaps lasts for a long time.

-It made my hair look and feel healthy, dark and bouncy.

-Controlled frizziness to some extent.

-My hair gets easily detangled after using this soap and skipping  conditioner.

-It gives creamy lather which I really love.

-It has ayurvedic kind fragrance which feels very refreshing.

-Suitable for dry hair.

-Price seems reasonable considering the lasting time of the soap.

-Available these days at several Online shopping sites.

-Soulflower has soaps meant for oily hair too. They have a wide range collection of wonderful soaps.I really love their range.

-This soap  is safe for use on chemically treated hair and Children's hair too.

-This shampoo bar did not cause any kind of hair fall in my case rather stopped a bit of hair fall that I was experiencing with other hair products.

-With regular usage of such healthy products restores hair growth cycle and helps in hair regrowth too. 

-Controls frizziness to some extent too.

-Each of the soap chunk lasts for 8-9 washes on my shoulder length hair.

-Makes your scalp healthy with regular use.

Cons Of The product:

-This seems pretty pricy for a soap bar.

-Whenever I apply hair oil, within two days of its usage my hair looks dull and limp.

-Its a bulky soap bar and not very travel friendly.So I cut  it into pieces.

-Not available at stores or malls or super markets.

-This does not make my hair very shiny and glossy which I always expect.  :p

My Take On This Product:

Its been nearly a month I am using this face polish regularly.I have used Lotus herbals Orange and Alpine salts Face Polish before, but I found the Auravedic Face polish very different from that of Lotus one. Auravedic Face polish comes in a plastic tub with a screw cap and a plastic separator to prevent spillage.On the tub you get several information regarding the usage of the product including ingredient list and benefits of using the product.As soon as you open the separator, you get nice yummy fragrance almost similar to Strawberry flavored curd which I used to have at Kolkata.Seriously the fragrance is good that I felt like eating it up.  :p 

The face polish is creamy, smooth and rich in butters.It has very less quantity of granules which gently exfoliate my skin without being getting abrasive. This face polish is more of a mask than a face polish I would say.It can be used daily as it keeps my skin very soft, supple and moisturized. Many a times I massage it on my face, keep it on for 5-7 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.This way this face polish shrinks my pores, brightens my face and makes it glow.Regular use of this product has somehow improved my skin texture and my skin feels glowy and bright without any makeup.Though I don't have fine lines, still I think it will keep the fine lines and aging signs at bay because it maintains the optimum hydration level of my skin which is the most important factor for younger looking skin. This product is really unique and I would definitely recommend it to people with normal to dry skin.

-It contains all natural extracts like grape seed, pomegranate and green tea extracts, jojoba oil and ylang ylang oil.

-Grape seed is used which is considered as a potent anti-aging ingredient since a long time.

-Its consistency is almost like whipped cream with very fine granules.

-It makes my skin very soft, supple and hydrated.

-It can be used daily without affecting our skin as it does not feel abrasive and is more like a facial butter.

-I have also used it like a facial mask and it really brightens my skin leaving nice healthy glow on skin.

-It has got an yummy fragrance, almost similar to strawberry flavored curd.

-The tub is sturdy and spill proof, hence its travel friendly too.

-Its going to last me for a long time.

-Never broke me out.

-Though it contains concentrated fruit acids, still it never stung me and I feel this is very much suitable for sensitive skin too.

Cons Of The Product:

-It may sound pricy for many people.

-Its very buttery, smooth with very less quantity of granules, hence not like a typical face polish.

-It does not remove blackheads and whiteheads effectively.

-To experience anti aging benefits one should regularly use this product, effects cant be seen with few usage.

-Not available at stores and can be purchased online only. 

-Tub packaging is unhygienic.

-May not suit oily skin people.
